The data controller is Sicily Oriental Homes Srl, with registered office at Contrada Targia, 58 — 96100 Siracusa (SR), VAT no. 02182630893. For any request concerning your data, you can write to info@sicilyorientalhomes.it.

What data we process

When you browse the website, we do not collect profiling data and we do not use tracking cookies or analytics tools. As with any website, the server hosting the site records technical browsing data (IP address, date and time, page requested) that is necessary for its operation and security. If you contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp, we process the data you provide (name, contact details, dates of stay, content of the message).

Purposes and legal basis

We use the data to respond to your requests and to manage your stay (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), to comply with legal obligations — for example, reporting guests to the Police Headquarters (Questura) via the Alloggiati Web portal and the tourist tax (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) — and to ensure the security of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Third-party services

Online bookings are made on the TeamSystem Hospitality booking engine, which processes data in accordance with its own privacy notice. The interactive map is loaded from OpenStreetMap only when you activate it: at that point your browser connects to the servers of the OpenStreetMap Foundation, which receive your IP address. Links to WhatsApp open the service provided by WhatsApp Ireland Ltd., subject to its own privacy notice.

Cookies and local storage

The website does not set cookies. It only stores your preferred language in your browser (localStorage), a technical setting that does not require consent and that you can delete at any time from your browser settings.

Retention

Messages and contact details are kept for as long as necessary to handle your request and your stay; data subject to mandatory retention by law (for example, for tax purposes) is kept for the period required by law.

Your rights

You may at any time request access to, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, and object to its processing, by writing to info@sicilyorientalhomes.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it).
